Privacy policy

Who we are

This policy covers fctech.media, published by FC Tech, part of FC Media. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect

We use our own cookieless, first-party analytics to understand which articles are read. When a page loads, your browser sends us the page address, the article being read, the referring page (if your browser provides it) and the width of your browser window. We do not set cookies for this, do not use device fingerprinting, and do not build profiles of individual readers.

Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and article images from image hosts such as Unsplash, which receive standard request data (including your IP address) when your browser loads those files.

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, and use it only to reply.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined under California law.
• We do not run third-party advertising or social-media tracking scripts. Share links on our articles are plain links.
• We do not require accounts or sign-ups.

Your rights, including in California

Depending on where you live, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of its sale or sharing (which we do not do). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, email[email protected] with the subject "Privacy request". We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

Children

FC Tech is a general-audience site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
